Comfortable all-seasons tent with large vestibule
Whether camping or as a spacious basecamp shelter, the Venus III DLX Extreme 3-person tent from Exped comfortably accommodates up to three tired hikers, climbers or mountaineers with a sleeping surface of 235 x 160 cm. The ceiling height varies from 125 cm to 140 cm, ensuring adequate headroom even for taller people. Plus, the adjoining vestibule is also very cosy and well protected from the sun, wind and rain, with plenty of space for all your equipment.
Durable tent for trekking or as a basecamp
The Venus III DLX Extreme can be put up all year round and offers reliable weather protection at all times. In addition to the large vestibule, it features two smaller vestibules with an extra entrance on the opposite side. The inner tent of the almost free-standing Exped tent can be unhooked to become completely independent. This creates a safe shelter for up to six people in no time at all.
Exped has designed this trekking tent using 40D ripstop nylon with silicone coating on both sides. The 30D ripstop nylon inner tent is complemented by the 20D no-see-um mosquito netting. When it comes to the tent floor, only the toughest 70D taffeta nylon with a hydrostatic head of 10000 mm is used. In addition, this weatherproof construction is supported by high-quality aluminium tent poles from DAC. The DAC Featherlite NSL TH72M poles with a thickness of 9 mm and 10.25 mm are connected to the tent via internal pole channels. The entire tent weighs only 4.9 kg and can be packed down toa size of 48 x 20 cm in the stuff sack. Optionally, a separately available groundsheet complements the Venus III DLX Extreme and therefore additionally protects the tent floor.
