Part of the Crazylight series from Big Agnes, the Tiger Wall 3 Platinum is made for those adventures that require you to go as light as possible. With its sturdy, compact construction and high-quality, lightweight materials, it is ideal for long treks or bike rides in mild climates.
Big Agnes made sure to keep the weight down when it came to choosing materials, opting for ultra-light, silicone-treated ripstop nylon for the fly and floor for UV resistance and increased durability. For waterproof protection, they’ve also added a high-quality PU coating. The DAC Featherlite poles support the minimalist structure. Only by anchoring the tent down will it be sturdy enough and obtain its full volume. For additional headroom and comfort, there’s a cross pole over the top of the tent as well. This little addition makes a world of difference when you’re changing clothes or trying to organise your kit. It’s important to note that reducing the weight of the material does result in a certain loss of stability and weatherproof protection, so it is advisable to use of footprint and find a protected location on higher ground for safety. That being said, you wouldn’t want to be in this tent during a storm in Norway or Chile and should definitely consider opting for a more robust model for such adventures.
Additional features of the Tiger Wall 3 Platinum include:
- two vestibules with storm flaps over the 2-way zip
- two entrances with a dual zip and door keeper on door
